Who We Are
North Brisbane Malayalee Association (NBMA) is a non-profit Malayalee community organisation in Brisbane.

the member families are from the local suburbs of Mango Hill and Northlakes (post code 4509), Registration No: IA60209 and the address is 69 Timbury Street, Mango Hill, QLD – 4509.
NBMA takes a community development approach to ensure that needs of the community are being addressed. NBMA aims to promote the cultural and social values of India and relay them to the next generation Australian born children of Keralite descent.
Objectives
- To preserve and promote the arts, culture, music, language and the traditions of Malayalee Community.
- Celebrate the main festivals of Kerala and share the knowledge and its importance.
- To mentor and develop leadership qualities in children to be the ‘Leaders of Tomorrow’.
- Encourage member’s participation in sports, social, recreational, spiritual, educational and charitable activities.
- Support new migrants in their integration process and encourage Malayalees to participate in the local community development and establish a sense of pride being a Malayalee Australian.
- The services giving back to the community includes volunteering and support services to elderly and vulnerable people in the community.
- provides avenues for community members to socialise, train and perform ethnic art forms at its community gatherings to celebrate important festivals.
